Aspen

Amphora Projects transformed the original façade entrance of the iconic St.  Regis Aspen into a monumental moving image. Mapped directly onto the historic face of the hotel, the work enveloped the building in ultra-slow-motion water forms, fluid motion rendered at cinematic scale. Presented during peak winter season, the installation redefined the hotel’s arrival experience, turning a familiar landmark into a dynamic surface of light and texture.

The piece engaged directly with Aspen’s natural environment, setting aqua kinetic movement against snow-covered stone and alpine air. Reflections of melting ice, falling water, and refracted light echoed the rhythms of the season while introducing a surreal, time-bent presence into the landscape. Part of the ongoing Waterforms series, the installation positioned water as both image and idea - shifting, essential, and in constant transformation.
