Kimpton Surfcomber

As part of the WATERFORMS series, this site-specific projection was installed at the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel during Art Basel Miami Beach 2024. Developed in close collaboration with the hotel’s management, the piece was designed to accentuate and harmonize with the building’s architecture - drawing out the unique qualities of its historic Art Deco design through ultra-slow-motion video mapped precisely to its surface.

The work activated the façade through continuous, fluid movement, aligning with the geometry and proportions of the Deco structure. Light and motion revealed the building’s underlying form, treating architecture as both frame and subject. Positioned within the visual density of Miami Art Week, the piece stood as a precise, immersive intervention—quietly asserting presence through scale, rhythm, and material clarity.
